Attaching 50amp cables with marine connections

I have two 50amp cables where one end is a female marine twist connection and the other end is a standard 50amp male plug. For the life of me I can't find a pigtail or conversion device that would allow me to connect them to each other. I believe that would require a female standard plug on one end and a male twist lock on the other. Any suggestions?

You can get Marinco to Marnco cords but I know of nobody who makes what you want.

can you give us a link to the site?

I don't believe that's what he wants. He has a male marine style plug and he needs to connect that to a male RV blade plug. He wants to connect together 2 standard RV power cords. Each has a 50 amp RV plug at one end and a male marine style connector on the other.

I have the adapter you are looking for.

Just to clarify you want a male 125/250v 50a marine style twist lock to a female 50a RV blade style.

I have a picture of it but I dont see how to attach it in this forum.

PM me if you want the info

Just buy one of these.

You will then need the Female 30amp plug and you can put the 2 together with a short jumper of the proper sized wire. You could even just cut 1 foot off your long cable and use it as the connection between the 2 plugs.

I've never seen an adapter to connect the two if it exists.

Since you want to keep both cords usable as is, buy the mating ends and make your own.

It wouldn't be too hard to do. If you're concerned because you don't understand electricity, get the connectors and hire an electrician to wire them together, shouldn't take him more that 15 or 20 minutes

Yup.

Yes but don't believe the adapter exist, so in the long run he needs to change the connection on one of his cords.
I don't think he will be able to use the cord as both a standard cord and an extension cord. Of course he could make his own adapter which would require to new connectors and some wire. However it maybe more cost effective to just buy an extension cord vs. fabricating his pwn adapter.

I guess I'm confused as to what you are looking for. It's probably doubtful that you'll be able to find a factory made jumper to go between both cords, but a simple trip to any electrical supply house with both cords in hand should get you the necessary cord ends and a foot of whatever electrical cord you need to connect them. An hour's work and some silicon caulk will give you what you need. You may be able to get the parts cheaper at a Lowe's, Home Depot or even a good Ace Hardware but those plugs are not needed every day. An electrical supply house will probably have just what you need in stock.

I'm not an electrician, but I googled GordonThree's "Nema....." post, and it came up with this item on Amazon. Would it work for you?
