Either one will work. The 8930/50 distribution center comes with a series 9800 converter/charger which is three stage and can stay connected indefinitely.

My converter is a wf/8930/50. Will that work just keeping it pluged in at the shore power. The maintainer I have is a Schumaker 1.5 amp
input:120v ac60hz,0.19/0.32a SEM-1562A
Output:6/12dc at1.5amp dc

You have 4 , 6 volt batteries set up to operate as 2, 12 v batteries. Use one maintainer with the positive hooked to positive pair A and the negative to negative pair B. I ran mine in this manner off of a BT Jr which is a .75 A maintainer. Come in off the road, turn off the manual disconnect and plug in the maintainer. The maintainer will usually be in maintenance mode by the following morning.

Monitoring the voltage float point. One point to consider is to disconnect the battery bank from any possibility of an unexpected load. 500ma per 6 cells is plenty enough potential. If your area of storage is subject to temperature extremes insure the float voltage is appropriate.

No way to know without you sharing what converter and what maintainer you have.

I agree, one maintainer should work fine assuming the batteries are charged to start with.

Yes, but why 2 maintainers on the same bank?
And if you have a good converter, it will probably work better.

Can't be that simple....

Get a four bank six volt charger :B

I would think you could actually only use one maintainer, since the system is still 12V, despite the number of batteries in the bank. Maybe someone knows otherwise, but the bank is "maintained" the rest of the year by a single 12V feed (either engine alternator or on-board converter). Just need to have all batteries charged to begin with... Comments? ST
