Carefree Awning

So my new 2013 Voltage main awning had one of the arms bent over the Labor-day weekend from a bit of rain we had. It's the 12 volt automatic and from thier website the only parts I can find are for replacing the entire side assembly. Has anyone else had this issue and if so what was your course of action? I know that they have a warrenty but not sure if my unit is covered.
