Carefree of Colorado - awning electric motor or gear?

Yesterday the electric awning (Carefree of Colorado) would not retract the awning. I have a wire with alligator clip that I use it as a jumper for the awning but it will not retact. Problem is I am hearing impaired and can not hear the motor so I would think the gear worn out. Earlier I was surfing utube home page and was hoping to find demostration how to remove but none. I need an instruction to show how to remove the cover, test the motor and where to order a new part. Many thanks!

Have never seen it done on a Carefree. only on a A&E

On an A&E the motor assembly is a single unit, it's in the Front end of the awning tube.. You drill out 3 pop rivets and it slides out (Do not forget to support the tube) You need to unhook a couple things on the arm too.

But that's A&E.. Not Carefree.. A&E a few years back charged $400 for a new motor assembly.. Thankfully the guy who called on me for help (And he burned out 2 of 'em) was still under warranty.
