Have never seen it done on a Carefree. only on a A&E
On an A&E the motor assembly is a single unit, it's in the Front end of the awning tube.. You drill out 3 pop rivets and it slides out (Do not forget to support the tube) You need to unhook a couple things on the arm too.
But that's A&E.. Not Carefree.. A&E a few years back charged $400 for a new motor assembly.. Thankfully the guy who called on me for help (And he burned out 2 of 'em) was still under warranty.
