Carrier A/C

I have a Carrier A/C on my car hauler that has a cracked fan. The part number of the fan is 38-50024-00. I know Carrier is out of the RV business but are there any alternative fans that I can replace it with? I hate to change the unit out because of a fan. Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks for all the information. I work for an A/C contractor and pretty much exhausted all my resources. I'll post a pic of the fan when I get a chance. wa8yxm I'll be in touch. Thanks

Great campground too if you come in on Thrusday and spend the night.. Thursday evenings here are a hoot.. (Well technically a church service but even though I officially go to church elsewhere.... When I'm here, I go Thursday Nights here).

How do you feel about driving a while... If that is the fan that fits the Carrier Air V rooftop RV unit, I have one in my basement. I'm 3 miles from the Darien (GA) mall which is 49 miles up I-95 from Flordia.

eBay ad shows SOLD and the pic is gone, but it said 12" diameter with 1/2" bore. My guess is that an appliance parts or A/C parts house can furnish something that'll work. The eBay didn't specify which way it rotates, so be sure of that if you order something. And, our Coleman Mach A/C uses a double-ended motor. A short shaft drives the indoor blower wheel and a longer one drives the outdoor fan like what you want to replace. Motor should be labeled with it's "rotation" but which end? Be sure when you go to match the fan up. On ours, again Coleman, the Fan blows air away from the motor and the rest of the unit, through the condenser coil, from the inside out.

Gustave Larson or Grainger would more than likely have a fan blade for you

Do an internet search, as there was a company in Hudson Fl area that bought all the Carrier RV parts they could lay their hands on and were supporting them.

Normally you can take the fan or blower blade to a A/C supply house, and they can match it up.

Carrier / Transcold is still in business, just not producing rooftop RV A/C units anymore. They might be able to get the parts, normally they make about 5% extra parts, to sell as OEM replacements.
