Kind of.
We’re traveling and I was changing locals every few days and a DISH tech told me the latest MyDISH app let you change locals (and reauthorize).

I tried it but it won’t let you if you have a home sat box which I do.

For RV and Dish to Go users it should work.

does that mean that now that you have a Wally you're experiencing trouble changing your service location?

Until I put a Wally in the RV I had no problems with calling Dish as explaining that I had a 211k in the RV and needed to change my zip code. Usually only had to make the call every other day while traveling. When on the last leg home I’d call and return to my home zip code. Never a problem.

From dish website.

NOTE: This feature is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ACCOUNTS WITH DISH OUTDOORS AND DISH HOME EQUIPMENT. If you have a residential account with both services, we are unable to offer this service at this time. To manage locals from your DISH Outdoors/Home account, contact us.

assuming you aren't taking your home receiver with you when you travel and the DISH receiver you have is the only receiver you have make sure that DISH has flagged your account as "outdoor". we have the DISH Vip422k which is a home receiver but it's the only receiver we own (we have Comcast at home). our DISH account is flagged as "outdoor" and it took a week or so for the APP to update itself but we can now change our service location without having to call or chat with tech support.

ljr, on the MyDish app on your phone, click on the Services icon at the bottom. Scroll down to the Dish Outdoors section, and click on Manage Local Channels. (If you have a home subscription, you may not have this option). Then click on the Manage Locals button. You can let your phone's GPS tell dish where you are, and your service address is updated, and you'll get the local channels in a few minutes.

I don’t have a subscription other than my RV but that button isn’t there. I probably should call them but past experience with Dish CS hasn’t been good. I guess I’ll just live without it rather than risk getting my account all screwed up.

Besides, I occasionally have to lie about my location so my Western Arc only Winegard Trav’ler will work.

Thanks

Can you be more specific? I don’t see it. I can change my billing address or make my service address the same but I can’t change the service address by itself.

Yep. It does.

I just changed my locals by using the app this past Friday and it was easy... I like the fact that you can also change the programming !
