Fantastic Fan Temp Sensor Isues

The temperature sensor is out of calibration or something. It will only turn the fan off if the temp is cool, and that is with the temp dial almost all the way to the coldest setting (in the blue). It used to work perfect. On a hot day I cannot turn the dial enough to get it to turn the fan off.

Is there an adjustment?

The temp probe is in the correct location, unmoved, in the airflow.

Also, bonus question...
The fan has 3 speeds. High speed is full amount of power to the fan, the other two speeds have the 12 volts pass through a heating element first to burn off some of the power so the fan gets less power thus turns slower. A small heating coil for medium speed and a bigger heating coil/element for the slow speed.
So, on any speed the fan must be using the same amount of power? Is the high speed is most efficient at moving air? OR do the slower speeds use even more power than high speed since they are heating the coil as well?

After almost 30 years of Fantastic Fans with the Temp rotary switch, I have NEVER had a customer complain about the Temp or probe function. I do not even know if Fantastic (Dometic now) even has the Temp control as a replacement part. BUT, what I would do is, TURN the Knob and see if you can distinguish when the contacs open and close. It may be as simple as cleaning the Thermo probe and blowing out the interior of the Rotary temp control to clean it out. Odds are the Interior contac points are pitted and/or burned. Doug
