Furnace question

I have a 2006 cavalier FEMA trailer at the furnace doesn't seem to blow hot sir. The propane bottle is full, I have power hooked to the trailer. The fan will blow but the air isn't warm. Do I have to light a pilot light or anything to get it work work? Sorry for stupid questions but am new at this

You have a Suburban water heater so real good chances same Brand was used for furnace.. (Did you finally get it to light off and heat water???)

When you set t-stat to heat and set temp higher then trailer temp furnace fan should come on and blow cold air for 30-90 seconds (purge cycle to remove any possible gas fumes prior to ignition)
Then when conditions (sail switch makes up from adequate air flow) have been met 12V DC power is applied to gas valve and spark electrode at same time. Power for gas valve is on for 6-8 seconds and then if no main flame power is removed to close gas valve.

Do you hear the 'click, click, click' of spark electrode?
Does main flame even light off for few seconds?

If you are getting spark but no main flame then
*gas valve solenoid could be bad
*Main orifice on gas valve could be plugged
*burner could be dirty/clogged with rust/debris
*spark electrode may not be correctly positioned (centered directly over slots)
*spark electrode gap may not be correct (1/8")

Perhaps you do not understand how a RV furnace works, which is different than a conventional house furnace. In a RV, first the fan will come on, blowing cold air. After several minutes (which seems like forever when expecting hot air), the burner will ignite and the air in the vents slowly warms. After the RV has warmed up to the thermostat setting, the burner will shut off and the air in the vents will cool until the blower shuts off.

The stove does light and burn correctly. Actually used it for heat one cold morning

It is hard to say anything about FEMA trailers of that era, they were being thrown together with whatever was available. Having said that both direct ignition and pilot light furnaces were built, I am not sure if anyone was still using pilot light models in 2005, however I know pilot light water heaters were still available.

Does the stove light and burn strong?? If no, the air needs purged out of the lines. When the stove burns steady, retry the furnace. If you cannot get the stove to burn steady, close the propane bottle valves and re-open it very slowly and try the stove again.
