How do I remove decal residue

I had one of those static cling decals on the back of my Jayco Eagle trailer. It was on for several years. The decal became discolorded and the transparent edges became brown. It took a razorblade to remove the static cling decal. Once removed the very edge of the cling left a brown residue outline on the trailer where the decal was, that the razerblade cannot remove.
I have tried Goo be Gone grafitti remover with no luck. Any suggestions on how to remove this brown residue from the fiberglass?

Today I tried acetone as well as adhesive remover. I even tried the old black streak remover trick of Lava soap. No luck.

I used an erasoer wheel to remove several decals. It was VERY easy (although time-consuming) and after I was done I had no brown outlines or marks of any sort.

These wheels are used by car dealerships to remove the chintzy pin striping that they themselves put on, and then charge the customer for removing it. My point is that the process is very gentle on the finish, even thought the wheel looks like it could grind its way to China.

Acetone eats a lot of materials. I would surely try it in an inconspicuous spot first.

Thanks everyone. Keep the ideas coming. Yes, I have tried goo be gone. No luck. I have some 3M adhesive remover and I will try that. If not, then acetone followed with a wash.
It seems like the edge of the static cling baked in the sun and that is the portion that I had to remove with razor blade and I'd came off crispy and flakes. Once I reached the color portion of the cling, it pulled right off. The gel coat has faded slightly but am hoping that exposure to sun will even that out eventually.

3M general purpose adhesive remover, available at auto parts stores.
But.... Often the gel oat has faded a bit, except under the decal.

Took every stripe off my 40ft motor home, and re-striped it, what takes the glue off is Acetone, doesn't hurt the gel coat at all, debate all you want, Acetone is it.
