Just curious how many run hours on a gallon of gas. Currently at 7000' using econo mode to run the battery charger can I expect? It is a 3 stage charger.

I get anywhere from 10 to 15 hours on mine. That is at a bit under 4000'. I have a PD9260, but we are pretty easy on our battery usage, and the water heater and fridge are on propane.

An AC kWh meter would be useful.

I rigged up a 5 gallon marine tank. In the winter, I can run my fridge, a small space heater, watch a little TV, the microwave (with the heater off) and keep all of my electronics charged for an entire weekend on the 6 gallons of gas.

somewhere between the min and max runtime that honda spec's.

If your charging a big bank with 60A, about the most you can reliably get out of the honda for VA, you'll be running near 1600VA, the honda max continous power. If your running a lower amp charger it will run longer.

eco mode will adjust the output power to whatever the charger needs.

I usually get 6-7 hours a tank running my 2KW EU2000i Honda.

When camping off the power grid I run my 2KW generator every morning when allowed to power up my PD9260C Converter/charger unit to recharge my 50% depleted battery bank. This takes around three hours of generator run time to get them back up to their 90% charge state....

Then I am good to go for the next day/night run off my batteries...

And.......

Here's how Honda specs it > > Runs 4 to 9.6 hours on one gallon.

I would assume 4 = Full Load & 9.6 = Eco & both probably at Sea level.
I'm an expert in only one field....I believe it's somewhere in Kansas.

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

mine have done from 8 to 15 hours in econ mode. As Mex said there are a lot of variables.

You're going to have to take all provided answers with a large grain of salt. Usage will fall within a wide window due to variables. Lbs of fuel per horsepower per hour is the formula.
