A converter with functionality, no RFI, a meter, and the cost is less than a guy can buy the parts. What's not to like about that! Oh, I know, it's made behind the Great Wall--grrrr. Just kidding.

Finally wired mine up last night. It's driving a dimmer, then on to the two 33 LED arrays in the ceiling fixtures. I have constant current and voltage set .02v apart so if I happen to pull one of the two arrays, the CV setting will keep the remaining array under control. The good news is that I can lay an AM radio next to it and it's silent.

That's a close twin to the one I posted HERE, but I did want the display since its buried in the wall.

I would think a pulse width modulator would work well. I put one on the kitchen exhaust fan because it was too noisy and we love it.:)

Let me know when you find one like this that handles same voltage but up to 15 -20 amps.

I have two of them I have played with, very stable output. I ordered a bunch of G4 LED arrays 10 for $10 including shipping and decided to test one to destruction so hooked two 12V batteries in series an using one of the above buck converters started with 12V took the array up to 14.8V for a day (converter and solar controller take it to 14.4V once ever 24hr for 15 min, and no change gradually worked it to 25V and after about 15 min three of the SMD's unsoldered them selves and the fell off, but the rest still worked. I no longer worry much about their current!
