Hi Folks,
I am preparing to have a six point Lippert leveling system installed on our fifth wheel, and have a question. Any thoughts on electric vs hydraulic. I am leaning toward hydraulic. Your thoughts are appreciated.Thank you.

I'm a big fan of Equalizer Systems. We had our 6 pt hydraulic installed by their factory crew. Its fast & powerful.

If you haven't bought, I feel like Bigfoot makes a better product for the same money.

We went from electric to hydraulic and will never own an electric again. The motors are slow, undersized and tend to get hot, and generally the hydraulic system is significantly nicer.

I had the electric 4pt and it worked perfectly for the 4 seasons that I owned it. I would not hesitate to get the electric again. My ONLY complaint was it was a bit slow.

I have had both the electric and the hydraulic leveling systems, they both worked well.
The hydraulic is fast and powerful, it is lots of hydraulic hose and cylinders that may leak.
The electric is slower than the hydraulic but it is also quite powerful but no issues with leaks.
The hydraulic pump can be operated manually if the motor fails but if a leak occurs you have a problem, the electric can be operated manually at each leg if a landing leg motor fails.
In a aftermarket installation it would seem the electric would be easier to install since you only need to run electrical wires instead of hydraulic lines to all the legs.

A guy I talked to said his only worked if he was close to level to begin with. Not sure what brand he had.

Our Momentum came with the leveling system.
