New Dometic Fridge

Got a new camper this weekend and it traded in our 07 unit. The old camper had a Dometic fridge/freezer. I would say it was the standard size. Bottom fridge, upper freezer. The new camper has a newer version of what our old one did. Same size but nicer looking with LED lights and stuff. The new one has a fan that runs inside the vent area. I know a lot of people have put these in but I didn't know that they were on new units. I never heard it on my old unit. Did it have one or was it broke? Will this fan be a problem when dry camping? I don't see a way to cut it off. Also, neither the old rv or the new one has the fridge located in a slide out.
Thanks

The fan is probably turned off /on by a button thermostat and should shut off it the temp gets to a pre set (by thermostat) and as soon as the unit heats upit will start the fan.

Is the frig in your new unit located in a slide? If so it needs the extra exhaust fan to cool properly.

Maybe the frig in your old trailer wasn't in a slide...thus it didn't necessarily have the fan that you are now hearing...???

Model would help?

Fan improves draft---better draft/better cooling

Fan probably draws less than .5A when running and is controlled by a thermostat on condenser fin
