newbie - How do I lubricate the slide out?

I purchase a product called 'Slide Out Lube'. I know where the steel tracks are but where exactly does the lube go? I don't want to just spray the whole track and get it all over the bottom of the slide out (unless that's is how you do it, it might attract more dirt and make things worse).

thx in advance

Yep, according to Lippert Components, if you have the Schwintek, there are certain places to lube it and they recommend a certain lube...

No slide on my rig but for dry as dust high pressure lube I use a product called DRY SLIDE. The downside is the powder can stain black. The upside it it lasts a thousand times longer than baby powder and has lubricity like crazy. It positively will not attract dust or dirt.

I use the same stuff on my slides. No problem with dirt. I spray the entire track. Excess spray will drip off, no problem. Do it twice a year.

At the same time I use the slide-out rubber sealer conditioner. Keep the rubbers nice and soft.

I use a spray made for slideouts,.....kind of a dry grease, and probably more expensive than other stuff, but never a problem, and the tall can last a long time
Mine is hydraulic, and whenever the slide starts coming in a little uneven, a spray fixes it.

I use Slip Plate brand graphite spray. Goes on like dry paint.
I spray the exposed rack's gear teeth only.

i am going to try on a test patch first. was going to try the old sock, but sprayed lube on some old underwear and the wife now thinks i have retro trouble. yes the container says how to apply BUT NOT Where on the slide... to i put it in the toothed gear part, the edges the middle that looks to be in contact with something else etc. i frequent areas that are dirt roads and i don't want grime up there, but on the other hand don't want the slide to stick!

shoot someof that lube on a test patch like a piece of scrap something.

See if it dries to a non greasy surface that will not azttract dirt.

Sounds to me you are dealing with something like slip plate.

Does it not have a how to on the container?

Also use Acme Slide Seal Powder (aka baby powder). Sprinkle on a sock and wipe on the big seal rubbers to reduce stickage.

I use that product with good results...I also use a tooth brush to clean the exposed gears, with has also worked good for me.

Not recommended. Just keep them clean.
