I've used the factory recommended CRC Powerlube with PTFE in accordance with the Schwintek video to lubricate the gear rack:
Schwintek videoNow, after two years, the gear rack has an accumulation of black burnish marks on the gear teeth and a gummy residue at the bottom of each rack tooth channel.
I can clean the rack but not the gears which are hidden within the slide out frame.
Has anyone else done he recommended lubrication and noticed a residue remaining on the gear rack?
Is the CRC product not a true "dry" lubricant?
Would a dry graphite lube be better?
