GFI outlet does have power but will not reset green indicator light showing on that outlet only one gfi in trailer

Just read this line. GICI will nto reset

You mean when you reset it it immed trips?

This is very common in RV's. now there can be many causes but here is the diagnostic path:
Unplug EVERYTHING plugged into GFCI protected outlets These include the Kitchen, Bath(s) V the dining room table and possibly others. Some RV's it includes the converter and/or Fridge. (mine does not)

Note if Fridge works on A/C and converter is working, then they are NOT on the GFCI

Unplug everything. If it it does not trip. Plug things back in one at a time till it trips.. Then you have your problem.

If it still trips go pull the cover off the outside outlet. Stand back when you remove it or you may get wet.. Yup, that's a common problem.. Dry it out, you may wish to replace the outlet and re-cover and RE SEAL.. And that's the cure

NOTE; one Rver found that under his slide out there were two junction boxes (one at each en dof the folding arm_) And THEY were full of water.

Is the wire coming from the breaker box to the GFI outlet hot? If not, maybe it is broken/disconnected before it in the circuit.

If the wire to the GFI outlet IS hot, but you are not getting power to that outlet and/or no power past that outlet, the only three options are mis-wired outlet, a defective outlet, or something after the outlet that keeps tripping the GFI.

The outlets are not protected by fuses. The outlets are protected by breakers in the power center.

Ok, Microwave and Fridge are not usually on GFCI likewise A/C
Check A/C on BLOWER only (Fan Only) do not select COOL, does it blow air?
Does Microwave light come on
Does Fridge Show A/C
IF any or all of the above are YES then you are getting power into the unit.
If all are NO problem is likely the breaker that feeds the outlet you are plugged into.. Lights, Water pump and Furnace all run on battery power.

Now, if you have power to the RV a test lamp is better than a volt meter but nobody makes a good one for 120 volt

Get one of those lamp socket assemblies with the two leads and a reubber thing you screw the lamp into , and about a 15 watt (no larger) lamp. Get some 18 ga wire (lamp cord) and make some probes (Easiest way is to slide a small dowel in half, or drill trhough it length wise, or get a couple of test leads from Radio Shack and cut off the banana plugs)

Extend both leads on the test lamp with the test leads, I like to solder the jointsm and tape well.. but twist and tape shoudl do

now probe CAREFULLY for power.. one lead goes on the WHITE bus bar in the power center (CAUTION DANGEROUS VOLTAGES PRESENT) Tough the other first to the screw on teh MAIN breaker (LIGHT BRIGHT = GOOD) then each branch breaker (Same) if you find one that does not light up.. RESET that breaker

Next unplug from shorew power

I have found many RVers have a few screws loose.. You just testes several of those, also the other screws in that box (White and bare/green) One of mine took over 2 full turns before I even felt the start of Resistance, over 3 to tighten... That fixed some problems I had.. There are other screws in the line as well on some RVs. I had one loose on my power "inlet" (where the shore cord plugs onto the RV) and another had six screws loose in his shore cord outlet (not all RV's have inlet/outlet Shore cord) the outlet fell off in my hand when we disconnected for testing., Brand new, Sticker still in the window high end 5th window... The owner was not a happy camnper.. (I'd have loved to be there when he returned to his dealer) We got him wired up.

Connect only the incoming line. Then try to set GFCI.
This will show whether it is the GFCI or something beyond the GFCI.
Yes, it could be converter if it is connected to GFCI. It should not be.
Has anything else been done to electrical? New cord?

Could it be the power converter box?

Wired right even went as far as putting the old one back in wired both ways and nothing kept tripping

GFCI receptacle wired wrong.

Quotes #1 and #2 make me think quote #3 is correct.

I replaced a GFI outlet a few weeks ago. The load wires on the original outlet were at the bottom (with the ground pin down) and the line wires were at the top.

I wired the new outlet the same way, and it would not work.

I took the new outlet out and actually READ the labels. The new outlet had the load wires at the top, and the line wires at the bottom. Just the reverse of the old outlet. Problem solved.

And, just to be sure we all understand the terminology, the wires labeled "LINE" on the outlet come from the breaker box, the wires labeled "LOAD" go to the rest of the outlets on the chain, protecting them.

Verify receptacle that your have shore power conn3ected to. Use a known good appliance.
Reset circuit breakers in the rig. Turn them all off applying light pressure toward off. then turn main breaker on (if equipped, then each branch breaker one at a time.

Check all outlets for GFI reset button. Could be the 1st one in line is tripped (not necessarily the one at the microwave) and that would stop all other outlets.
