replacing decals should I clean/ redmax before or after

I removed all my arctic fox decals and I need a new finish on the faded gel coat. I have read hundreds of post about the steps involved with cleaning and recoating but none of them say whether to replace the decals before I use a red max type product or after the red max type product. My concern is if the decals will stick to a freshly sealed surface I know it will be a lot easier to clean and "wax" the tc without the decals on.

Thank you for the input.

I just received an email from Northwood the makers of Arctic fox. They said that you should clean the rig than put on the decals and then put on the sealant/wax.

Thanks for all your input

Decals need to be installed on clean, dry, oilfree and waxfree surface
if not done right you will be doing them again.
once the decals are on and dry them put your red max on

Decals need to be installed on as bare a surface as possible.
