Single waste tank for an RV

Does anyone have any experience with a single grey/black tank. I see some of the newer units have only the one tank and would like feed back. I do not boondock so capacity is not an issue, I've never had anything but the twin tanks so need more information from those who have a single tank. Thanks

Owned a 1966 Avion with a single tank.

We camped in state parks without sewer, and used dump stations. It wasn't a problem.
Our Rig:
2005 Dodge 3500 - Dually- Cummins
2006 Outback 27 RSDS

We also have with us two rescue dogs. A Chihuahua mix & a Catahoula mix.

I have just one. The older TT's had valves installed on the drain plumbing so that a user could drain the grey water without dumping the tank. My tank is 45 gal capacity.

FWIW, I plan to add another tank, this spring, so that I can separate grey and black water, it just seems like a more sanitary setup and better cleaning of the drain lines when dumping.

Old-Biscuit, thinking of a newer Foretravel. Only one tank would not be a deal breaker for me, still interested in someone who has one. thanks

I personally wouldn't buy one with only one tank. Too many usage variables.

I go through way more grey than black and it is a lot easier to tote out grey than black. I do it all the time. Sometimes a couple big garbage cans in the back of my pickup, full of grey to a suitable dump site. Wouldn't do that with black - nope! Ugh!

Spilling a little grey on yourself isn't that big a deal....

If you drive down the road and the water in your sink or shower P-trap is not sufficient then you will know why the two tanks are separate.

Single waste tanks use to be the 'norm'.........then separate tanks came about for added capacity then they got bigger and bigger and then 2 grey tanks.

Didn't know some have gone back to single waste tank........which newer ones are you referencing?

What's the big deal........it's all waste, drains out same line, goes to same waste system when dumped.
Just like the waste drain system in a house........all connected.
Is it time for your medication or mine?
