Slide Lubrication ?

$13 for a can of slide lube !
Is it anymore than a can of spray silicone ??
My hydraulic slide wants to get a little katty wampus now and then,.....not a problem yet, but thought a shot of lube would be a good place to start. I'm just not sure that there isn't a better way than 13 bucks. Any thoughts ?

I use the dry silicone spray for $2.30 from Big lots. The wet type lube attract a lot of dirt that gets into the roller mechanism. I use the same spray for my seals which are 16 years old and still pliable.

My slide parts, motor and cables are In closed. So far good for bout 4yrs. Knock on wood. Now it's all happy-camping

There are alternatives. I bought the actual slide lube, but it was on a clearance rack at Walmart of 4.99. I prefer the dry lube for most applications, but I also use a product called HHS that sprays on like WD 40 and gels up. Lasts a long time as well.
