X2 on Go Power PSW inverter. Just uses any SPST switch (light switch, toggle switch, etc.). Good inverters too. Just shutting the loads off doesn't always save your battery power. My dish receiver draws about 25W when powered off. I use the inverter on/off remote to kill everything.

Morningstar PSW 300 doesn't come with a remote. It has low-power contacts to connect a remote switch - any switch.

I don't recall my 175 MSW Go Power having any provisions for remote, at $25 price this would've been asking too much.

I have an inverter with a "proper" remote on/off which is probably? what RJ means, but for non-standard ways--

For a particular set-up, I have a small inverter in a cabinet where it is hard to get at, with its DC plug going into the Winegard 12v socket. I have a store-bought extension 12v cord for that so it will reach and the plug on that going into the 12v socket has an on/off switch and a light that shows when it is on. Way back in the cabinet behind the sub-woofer is where the powered speakers I use plug into the small inverter, which has its 120v power set to on. Switching on the 12v at the socket outside the cabinet brings it all to life.

For a moderately sized inverter, you could use a latching disconnect solenoid similar to that employed for the house battery disconnect to control the inverter remotely.

(A continuous duty non-latching solenoid would also work, but would needlessly add to the idle load of the inverter.)

The inverter itself, no. But I have a small wireless on / off gadget that is designed to turn lamps on or off from across the room.

It would leave the inverter powered up, but disconnect the load from it.

Go Power has 150, 300, 600 with a provision for your own wired switch.
I think Morningstar 300 has similar.
