On a previous unit, I had basement doors that had no locks. The foam material was inadequate to secure locks to, so I removed the doors, carefully scraped most of the foam material from the back side of the door, and cut and glued a piece of plywood in place of the foam. I made sure that the hinge screws went into the plywood by using a much longer screw, so that the door was properly supported. Canโt remember if it was 5/8โ or 3/4โ ply.... I had that unit for another 7or 8 years, and it was still fine when I traded it. A benefit was that I was able to screw storage clips to the back side of the doors to store small items like the stabilizer crank and the 30 to 15 amp adapter....

Hello, I am having a similiar issue with a compartment door having a high moisture level. Same issue here with the decals on the outside. Had 2 doors repaired / resealed by the dealer last year ... Here in Norway the repair cost would start at $450US and up depending on the door size of course.... I've been digging in rabbit holes for someone who has a tube video of this repair but with no luck (Yet)... Curious if you did a repair or a new door? Appreciate and help --- Viker-Nokie ๐

You are responding to a post that's 6 years old and Cam N family hasn't been on here in years. You may have more luck getting responses by posting a new question rather than a response buried in an old thread.
