We are being quite civil about solar panels and why they are making it difficult to purchase them. I was pointed to USA made panels that are in fact twice the cost of the market norm. I pointed this out and the person that pointed out the panels was gracious enough not to take offense. This is a classy discussion without rancor. Love it.
All governments should bite the taxing bullet on solar panels and forego all taxes on the manufacture, distribution, sales and purchase of solar panel and related equipment.
Panels are a fundamentally direct way to ease greenhouse emissions in the area in which they are used. Dispersed generation eases the burden of line transmission load which lowers the costs incurred by utilities.
Our enemies are USA political type. Not just at the helm but individuals who resist the idea of making the solar panel industry and consumerism 100% tax free because of loss of tax revenue. This means our enemies are on both sides of the political aisle. Please don't focus on one side or the other, both sides are enemies of human caused CO2 reduction.

Nothing useful is going to happen until the Americans straighten out their colours for their political parties to match the rest of the world's colours.
Red has been for Liberals , Commies, and such since forever. (Paris communes?) Blue is for Conservatives from at least as long. So all of a sudden, CNN or somebody ignorant decided "Red" was for Republican???? Really beyond stupid. So fix that first, and then we can talk about free trade.
Amazing this thread is still here! ๐ The above ought to make it go away.

UCLA engineering has developed a new solar cell with a record setting 22-percent incoming energy conversion.Yang added that the technique of spraying on a layer of perovskite could be easily and inexpensively incorporated into existing solar-cell manufacturing processes.
