What all does this ebay meter do?

multi function meter

I looked at the Chinglish instructions which did not help me:
http://www.kuuco.com/profile/VAM_User%20Manual.pdf

I see that it does volts, and up to 20 amps. It "looks" like it can keep a running total of AH??

Can anyone tell if the display is always on?
Currently RV-less but not done yet.

That's how it works... assuming the box was labeled "Chinese to English": You copy/paste the original Chinese in, click "translate", and it gives the English translation.

Any other language can be chosen, or you can even ask it to "identify" the language you paste in.

Something I've learned about "Chinglish" instructions is that if you can find the original Chinese, using Google translate often results in a much more intelligible translation.

Here's the link to the Chinese language instructions for this product.

And here's another for Google Translate

Reading the Ebay description, I believe that you would need to install an external shunt to measure the current drain from a battery. It will measure current directly, but if you look at the terminals, you can see that they are rated for 20 A, which is about #10 wire. Good for measuring one circuit only.

I can understand the calculation for watts, but Ahrs I'm not on sure. It would need a clock and cumulative storage. I'm guessing Ahrs is just A times something to give an instantaneous value that suggests what it would be if the current was steady for an hour.

The E_Bay description says it is a voltmeter and amp meter. :@

The display nor buttons look very intuitive. If you don't mind a tilting upward learning curve it may be OK once you verify it's accuracy.

Well, I googled up an 8 page thread on it. I'm only on page 2, but it seems to be well liked in the electric bike community:
