Wheel Bearing Question

Hope this is the right place for my question. I had the bearings on my 30 foot Cardinal packed in mid 2017. I, sadly, have less than 300 miles on that service. I am in AZ with it's heat. Should I repack, or am I good? Thanks all.

OK, I'll bite -- are bearing buddies not ok on a 5er? Not that I have a 5er -- but I am curious. Thanks!

And back on topic, I get my bearings done every year, because I tow about ten thousand miles a year. But if I had an off year of only 300 miles, I would not get them redone.

So OP, I think you are good to go! I hope this year is a high mileage year for you.

JusBud, you are gonna take some heat on your last sentence. Surely you did not mean bearing buddies on a fifth wheel? :h

My thought exactly.

Been so flippin cold here in AZ I'm surprised your grease didn't freeze.
The heat in the summer doesn't make grease disappear

You're good.
Don't you have bearing buddys?

I don’t think I’d want to RV when it’s that hot outside, even in Florida.
Isn't that mid-August in Florida? 🙂

As long as the ambient temps have been below 200-250 degrees, you should be fine. If you're really concerned about the wheels not turning, jack up a wheel and spin it around for a couple minutes. That should distribute the grease just fine. You don't really need to, but if it will make you feel better...

I am mainly concerned with any possible breakdown in the grease due to sitting/heat.

I check mine every few years. Why would you think you need to check them after 300 miles? No sense making work for yourself...unless you're just bored.

Where in AZ it is hot? 300 miles in almost 2 years? Tow much?

I track towing miles and go every 10k miles which works out to about every other year for me.
