Note from moderator,
Please keep pics to a max 640 width as a favor to those with smaller screens and dial up. "IF" you can not figure out how to make the pics smaller, post them, PM me or hit 'notify moderator' button, say you can not resize pics, and I aka blt2ski/Marty will go in and edit/fix.
Enjoy everyones pics

This is by far the coolest truck I've seen on this forum.

Is there a smiley icon for 'bowing before the master'? I need one like that right now. ๐Ÿ™‚

All cleaned up and ready to head to the beach on Friday! She's been washed, clay barred, waxed(cleaner) and waxed again. Her skin is so smooth she should get another mile per gallon right??:B

It's a 1987 C70 :former ambulance, hence the diamond plate back hiding the hideous factory walk thru. It has the junky detroit 8.2 diesel paired with the allison AT545. The truck is slow on hills, unloaded i have had it to 80mph "dont like the feel" that fast. pulling flat I cruised about 60mph with the trailer last weekend, its slow on the take off and getting up "it will pull a house down, just not fast". It does have hydraulic brakes. weight on door is 20,500gvwr
frame has been cut shortened, added i beam to top of frame so bed body lines match. as the ambulance no rear leaves it has an air bag/ leave system bouncy ride empty.
the trans ran hot on the hills it was over 100 degrees outside air temp. I ordered a oil cooler for tansmission for next week. plans in the future is to deop a DT466 in place of the detroit. possibly fabricate a homemade extended cab and tie in the walk thru with a boot for seats in the back, move stacks back behind that. i may possible just do a nother new unit hopefully with 4 door and instead of chopping frame i may put 2 beds together to end up with a 8-14 foot bed pending length of truck i find.

^^^^^^So is that a diesel with air brakes?? It looks like a tractor with a pickup bed. OR is it a gasser with hydralic brakes. I drove an Old International dump with that setup and what a major pain just trying to take a load of asphault up a hill.

Love how the bed shape matches right up to the cab, looks like a factory job. Seen a lot of conversions and none looked this good. Although there's some top kicks that look good.
