Wow, it got so quiet in here after the Ford reveal.

Personal opinion - it only resembles a mustang, and a couple of my friends hate the shape already.

But it's electric, 200 plus miles on the base model. Only problem is the base model sounds more expensive than the Model 3 base ๐Ÿ˜ž

370 mile range on the mach-E sounds great. Price is getting up there too.

There are many more links coming.

Can we all at least agree that more competitors are good. And Ford getting into the game will hopefully make everyone notice.

The mustang Mach E reveal will be live on YouTube in 62 minutes. This has got to be a little exciting for Mexico as well. Quite literally the first mass produced EV built in Mexico.

Not to be outdone SEA- Electric from the State of Victoria, was at a Los Angeles Show, got 200 orders, Ford F59 has a walk in body built on it. First Australian EV builder in the US
SEA ELECTRIC TO LAUNCH IN THE UNITED STATES
2/20/19

SEA Electric (Los Angeles, California) is set to launch in the United States in coming weeks, showcasing two trucks at The Work Truck Show in Indianapolis, Indiana in March 2019, while also attending Californiaโ€™s Advanced Clean Transportation Expo in April 2019.

The display vehicles are based on popular Ford and Isuzu platforms and are at an advanced build stage, with assembly of the Ford F-59 stripped chassis taking place at Fordโ€™s DCP assembly facility in Detroit and the Isuzu NRR being assembled nearby at a third-party plant.

First 100% Electric Ford F-59 in Production for SEA Electric

SEA Electric has marked a turning point in its company history with the first Ford F-59 100% electric van in production at Fordโ€™s Detroit Chassis Plant, Detroit, Michigan.

SEA Electric CEO, Tony Fairweather said โ€œthis is an exciting step forward for SEA Electricโ€™s global footprint and a positive result for our USA operations who are currently working towards fulfilling several orders in the pipelineโ€.

The F-59 EV is being built on a Morgan Olson Walk-in Van body and will be deployed in Fall, 2019 for delivery routes in the greater Detroit area with a leading package delivery company.

Iโ€™m kinda looking forward to fords offering. It will be nice to see something with some classic lines enter the fray. It should be well received.

I wonder if theyโ€™ll make some sort of contribution to the charging infrastructure.

Workhorse buys GM Lordstown

Not much written about Workhorse's EV endeavors. Done some reading, seems they have a market strategy focused on fleet operators. They are in the process of competing to build an electric 'next generation' delivery vehicle for the Postal Service. They are also developing an electric pickup truck for use by governmental agencies such as public works, utility departments, etc. The City of Orlando has apparently entered into an agreement to purchase up to 400 of their pickups.
