I love cruising through the "what did you do to your camper today" thread, I figured I'd add a "what did you do to your truck today".

I'm sure that many of you are like me....and your truck that you use to haul your camper gets a lot of special attention to make sure it's in tip-top shape for your adventures.

I'll start out.....


Today I mounted 2 PIAA 520 Fog lights and 2 PIAA Driving lights to my winch bumper, and aimed them.



This evening, I received a box containing torklift stableload bumpstops. Those will have to wait for another day....we've got a blizzard going on here.

Put my new Mile Marker manual hubs on today with great difficulty as I cannot sit down low yet. Taking my antibiotics like a good boy but but it still hurts (bruised a kidney last week and got an infection.

I will never buy Warn anything ever again. My Warn manual hubs, the dial broke and Warn will not sell me replacement parts nor will they replace the so called 'Lifetime Warranted' hub assemblies. I bought them 13 years ago with the understanding that they were guaranteed for life.. They are and aren't. The guarantee is only valid with the original purchase receipt. Who hangs on to a receipt for 13 years? Not too many folks I know.

Mile Marker hubs on the other hand are also guaranteed for life but to get a replacement or parts, all you have to do is call them and get a RA to send the hubs back or call their tech line to get parts. I know, I checked before hand.

From my observations, the Mile Marker hubs are stouter too. The Warn Premium hubs use an aluminum external spline that mates to the wheel hub, Mile Marker uses a steel hub. Warn used a die cast alloy outer cover and dial (which broke), Mile Marker uses a stainless steel outer cover with a cast alloy inner dial and its secured to the inner with 8 stainless socket head cap screws, the Warn hub uses 6 cap screws.

Best of all, the Mile Marker premium hubs are about 60 bucks less than the Warn hubs are at retail prices.

I'm going to send their hubs back to them with a nasty note enclosed.

I'm done with Warn forever.

Yes, rubber seal is visible in the picture with the cover open. Check the top rim of the box.

The paint job was a pain. I messed up the first try by contaminating the paint with silicone that was on a tack rag. DW ended up stripping that paint down to bare metal. Second paint job came out good. I applied one coat of primer and two finish coats.

Cleaned and organized camping items that will be carried in rear seat area of truck, i.e.: Easy up pop up, lawn chairs, tools, bottle jack, fishing gear, hip waders, outside cook stove, and a couple sticks of dynamite to scare the Alaskan grizzlies away.
