you are struggling with the same question we all have before making our decision. We all made the right choice for each of our needs and look at how many types and sizes of toy haulers are on the highway today. Point is, figure out what is right for you and go enjoy it. I have a 5th wheel with a garage. Works for me keeping the motor stuff along with the odors away from the living quarters. That was what was important to me. Remember.... have fun and use whatever you end up with.

I saw a sport trailer today that said Wanderer on the back. I didn't see the "by" name, but it was only 5 letters or so and had an "on" in it, I think. Know anything about this one. We're still looking for a toyhauler to replace our Fleetwood.

The story is that the owner of General RV in Michigan was an investor and when the company went belly up he was paid off with remaining trailers, which were these 40 foot toy haulers. The trailers are nice but upon closer inspection they look like they were slapped together after they went out of business. Little things like not caulking the tops of the slide-outs. General RV has been great about fixing the problems. The trailer goes back tomorrow for what we hope is the last leak and the few remaining problems.

That's really more personal opionion than any fact. Every rig out there has some flaws. Researching the various units will show you what features you want/need and how much you are willing to pay for them.

Generally I'd agree, but a TT can be setup very safe as well with the right hitch. I've prefered my 5er towing vs. my TT's. Safer? I guess, it just tows better and I haven't had sway issues at all.

Depends on your personal needs and budget.

If that works for you go for it, I've done the PopUp & Hybrid trailers - prefer a hardsided trailer so we can camp year round and have less setup time.

I need to know which are the best of the best of toy haulers. If a fifth wheel is safer than a trailer, or should I just get a motorhome toy hauler. We have really like the starcraft travel star sport-utility trailer with the pop out tent trailer like beds. So much room.
