I would see if you can take it for a test drive and see how your truck handles with it on the back. Are you going cross country full time camping?

With your truck I would roll with the 1055 with no worries, maybe do some upgrades to handle the added weight, I see them on 250/350's all the time.
. I don't have a specific 1055 in mine but I always like the layout of them with the non-slide and the drive bath I still have a couple more years of work before I can retire but yes I do plan on going cross-country with the camper I get thanks

Personally, I'd like to see TC builders weight each unit (after it's built with everything inside except water and propane and list that as the actual dry weight. I suspect they don't because they want to imply they are 'Lite' when in fact they aren't.

Having said that, I sometimes wonder what pull behind's really weigh. espceially loaded with 'stuff'

WoW! I didnt realize the 1055 was that heavy, thats way out of my trucks league, I guess a rule of thumb would be to look at the advertised dry weight and add about 700 lbs. Thanks everyone, Lou

......and another 500-700 pounds for 'stuff'.

When Lance lists a dry weight, it's REAL dry, Dry like just the frame and skin with nothing inside.

All the volume builders do that. Very misleading.

Its heavy try around 3600 with no gear, no water, no propane, no batteries. loaded on my 2003 F350 CC LB SRW 4x4 my rear axle was at 7500# you really need 19.5 tires and wheels for that load along with with suspension upgrades. My 2011 f350 CC LB 4x4 DRW handles it like it isn't even there.

Dont believe the brochure, It is not even close to real world weight. I have a Lance 2007 1055. It has a generator, two awnings, Solar panel, AC, etc. Full water, full propane, two batteries, ready for camping, with me and the wife we are just over 4600 lbs. Weighed at cat scale. Carried it on a SRW GMC 3500 for two years. Got 4080 lb rated tires but was still over the GVWR of the truck. Recently purchased a 2016 Dodge Ram DRW 3500. Carries the camper effertlessly. We really love the camper. Tons of interior storage, huge dry bath, good size holding tanks. The overhead cab area is great for lounging we can easily sit upright in the high head cabover area. Very solid camper. Excellent floor plan for a non slide camper. If you purchase it you will love it, just make sure you have enough truck for it.

The 2006 brochure lists it at 2780 dry.
