COMING SOON from Pickuptrucks.com.

I wonder if they'll be using a 2014 or a 2015 Ford diesel?

I'm looking forward to seeing how the 6.4L Hemi does. ๐Ÿ™‚

Good grief. My truck would come in dead last in a towing competition. But it would come in last reliably every time. Towing competitions are barely a casual interest for me. They're all winners in my opinion. Even mine.

Anyone on this board that says they don't care who wins this (or any other) compare is a liar. If you didn't care you wouldn't be on this board. Tell me, when or if your team has one in the past you don't look are your pickup in front of your house and feel just a little more pride. If you don't you are truly an empty soul, void of any amount competitive spirit.

I guess I'm a liar since I really don't care who wins. My Ram came in 3rd in the last test. I suppose I should wear a paper bag over my head while driving. As far a pride goes, are kidding me? There fricking trucks made by someone else. I would take pride in it if I built it. I take pride in the things I build not someone else's stuff. Heck I bought an ST model. Not much pride there being the base model. I bought my Ram for two reasons. CP.3 and the price. Neither of which Ford or GM could match. And guess what it really doesn't matter if it's the slowest of the bunch, especially when you're driving on some mtn road behind 20 cars with no passing lane. Or you're cruising down the freeway at 65 mph because I can't go any faster because my ST tires won't allow it.
Sure I read the tests. It's always fun to read those. Apparently a lot of other people are liars too as GM won the last test but GM sells less HD diesel trucks than Ram and Ford. Whats up with that?

It's one thing to enjoy your truck since you paid a lot of money for it. But I've never driven around with my chest puffed out in some vehicle knowing it won some race. Well maybe when I was 18 years old.

When I was buying a new dually last year I was seriously considering each of the three. When I read the results from the 2011 HD Challenge one thing stood out. The result of the braking test coming down I70 in Colorado. That just killed any thought of buying a Ford. Can't see how anybody towing a heavy fiver would feel comfortable (safe) mountain driving knowing that.

Perhaps a little mellowdramatic?
Some people still tow with those antique machines, you know, like a 2009 Duramax. Seems that some people forget that the OEM exhaust brake is a very recent offering.

In the hurt locker test I read back in 2011, the Ram needed the brake pedal 2 times, the GM 4, and the Ford, a staggering 5 times. You're right, it's incredible the GM and Ford don't kill more people than they do!

The trucks keep getting better from all the manufacturers thanks to open competition which is incredibly rare in this country with the trend toward ever large companies that only need to buy out their competitors to be successful.

Are the GM twins allowed to participate this year? I know last year they didn't clear weights as did the Rams a few years ago.

I really do not think the results will matter to a true diesel head.

It never did in the past.

The results will be interesting to me anyway.
