Thanks, didn't mean to take things off topic, but that was a fun job, myself and a few other contractors teamed up for over 3 years to build that house. It took me 9 months of long days to finish that two story library in cherry and ebony.

Now, back to arguing about trucks! ๐Ÿ˜‰

I installed them recently but have yet to use them. I fully expect to put a few pounds in them if needed when hauling the mini-ex plus the tool load.

Yeah that's why I figured I'd be a few hundered over the payload of 4779.

400lbs of canopy and rack
2500lbs of bedslide and tools
2000lbs of adjusted tongue weight

4900lbs = 121 lbs over listed payload rating

We'll see if it points the headlights to the sky or not.

So you did modify to make it sit like it does? How about a pic unloaded. Curious did you actually scale truck then truck with camper to determine 4K camper weight?


That was a 4" lift kit using new springs up front, STOCK springs with a taller block in the rear. This pic was taken the day I picked up the camper before any mods were made. After I added the 18ft Enclosed trailer at 8k lbs, on the Supertruss extension, I added Airbags and Stabil-loads.

This is how the truck sat Empty with no air in the bags the day I sold it last April. Truck scaled at 8100lbs empty and 12200 with the camper.

BTW I really like the mirrors. They are rock solid even towing at 75. I DON'T like them in the stored position because it places the spot in a vertical position and is not as easy to use.
