Take a look at the dual 8.4" screens, kind of reminds me of the Teslas info center.

I think it's a nice looking truck, kind of Durango-ish looking from the front.

My wife is the opposite. The first week we owned the new truck she said, "This truck is too quiet. Make it all rumbly like the last one." So I replaced the stock one with this one and now there's a whole lot of :B:B:B:B going on lol.



It's a Flowmaster Super 10. I left the exhaust as a single in single out and left the stock resonator, so it sounds really good without being insanely loud.

One thing I've noticed about towing with my hemi is that I have to go looking for the RPMs to know. Otherwise, it's just a smooth, quiet, uneventful cruise. Nothing like my 20 year old previous F150. That thing left my nerves jangling every time.

Yep the first thing my wife told me when I got my Eco was you'er NOT going to change the exhaust on this truck....do you hear me! Happy wife happy life LOL. I liked the way my 04 sounded with the glasspack style exhaust myself, the wife not at all.

My next truck just might be a 6.4 2500 with a Flowmaster exhaust system, maybe a 2019 after they redo the HD trucks.

I've never had a problem listening to a Hemi all day long, literally. I guess different strokes for different folks. Some are sensitive to sounds while others could care less.

I used to never understand that thought process. Now I know that is because the majority of my towing has been done with a diesel.

Now, probably 50% of the time, I tow my 7000 pound boat with a GM 6.2 (still use my diesel all the time with the RV, and quite a bit with the boat. The GM has plenty of power for that job, but I will say that the higher RPMs take some getting used to. I know from plenty of reading, and looking at HP/TQ charts, that the higher RPM is nothing to worry about. But even though I know that is the case, I still find myself trying to force the engine back into a higher gear when it downshifts to 4th on what seems like only a gradual hill.

All else being equal, I would likely prefer some sort of forced induction on a gas engine. To me, lower RPMs does equal a more pleasant driving experience. Especially when you are on a longer haul.

I think I read that there's a switch to turn the feature on/off on this new Ram too.

In the FCA vehicles if you don't just turn it off with the button you can just not push too hard on the brake pedal after stopping and it will not activate. Is the GM similar?

And I didn't mean to imply the FCA vehicles do not start instantly but that when using the starter you definitely know when it restarts.


It is easy to do what I do. Just let the car roll a couple of inches when waiting for the light to change. I make sure we don't stop close to the car in front. This is a slight let up on the brake pedal.

New 2019 chev that was showing on rv.net has a switch to stop the auto start as a jeep I know about has at every startup or before.

Interesting that the rear diff fluid in the new Ram is heated in winter and cooled in summer. Never seen that before.

We have a stop start 2018 equinox. It is easy to fool the car so it stays running. I like running better but it does start in an instant.
