There is an exceptional amount of side pressure during turns. I am convienced that as strong as the tubing is, if the trailer or Towed whipped side to side there could be a major problem. Personally, I will not use my extension without the side chains.
No I haven't. The thought never crossed my mind but thank you.
I haven't even used it yet and wont for a few more weeks.
My trailer loaded will only weigh about 1500 lbs.

Did you add side chains to stabilize any lateral movement? I'm needing this extension to attach a car dolly to pull my mini behind my truck..
Thanks!

With the 3" Super Duty hitch, if you are using a TC that has an overhang that requires a 36" or 48" extension to tow a boat with 500# tongue weight, can this now be done without a Torklift super truss extension? This would be great not having to swap out the factory receiver and install the TL receiver and extension.

TL is abusing advertisement rules as they call "truss" something that is not IMHO

Why don't you consider it a truss? It would seem to me that after it's bolted together it is exactly that... but I'm not an engineer.
