For you gear heads. Ford released their next gen Mustang and it's good to see pure muscle car DNA featured with this new platform.

5.0L V8 putting out ~500HP
10 speed auto transmission
6 speed Tremec manual transmission
Convertible option

Looks like Camaro may go away in the future and Dodge is threatening to make their muscle car EV or in line 6, so it's good to see Ford investing in the Mustang platform to keep it a good looking fun to drive car and will sell everyone they can build.

Interesting comments from a Dodge owner on the Ford Mustang...

Dodge is dead

MOPAR is dead


Ford will sell a ton of these cars and the pony/muscle car enthusiast will be flocking to a Ford dealer unless Dodge/MOPAR course corrects.

Might not be the quickest or the fastest, but as I said before, all of the old muscle cars from any of the big three + AMC are in a class of their own.

Which will turn more heads— your F150 or the ‘67 SS.


The old muscle cars are a blast to drive with their loping engines, 4 barrel carb growl, exhaust smell, rattling dashboards, single point seat belts, etc...

I traded this in for the Camaro. I bought the El Camano from my brother when I returned from Thailand the summer on 1967. We both wish we still had it. 283 with cam and T-10 BW close ratio. It had 3.36s when I bought and I installed 4.11s. Body was perfectly straight and also debagged. Black has to be really straight to look straight, and it did.

It had been debagged when I bought it. It was a RS/SS with factory 8 track and 4 speed Muncie. It was fun to drive, however did not corner well. I installed traction bars to tame the mono leaf 67 rear suspension. Chevy fixed that in 68 with multi leaf springs and staggered rear shocks.

Talking about comparisons between older and new. My 96 F350 SBCC with 460 would get like 9 mpg maybe 300 hp. My son got a killer deal on a Ram TRX and with its 702 hp it does 13.
Oh btw you can buy a gasser in Cali till 2035.

I can’t imagine that it is.

My ‘05 Honda S2000 was only a couple of 10ths off the GTO’s times. Mind you, the GTO is in a class that the Honda will never see IMO.
