Does anyone have an Arctic Fox 811 camper on a long bed truck? I'm curious as to how that works.

The spot that contains the generator on a short bed, is made in to a very shallow compartment on a long bed camper. It might be only 6" deep.

Thanks to all - this is exactly the difference that I wanted to see. Just curious.

ROGER THAT.

I've heard many times, from many sources, that the AF990 is the hottest selling AF camper.

The 990 stretches the dinette (bigger table, slightly larger benches) a little different bathroom layout, plus more counter space and another cabinet in the overhead kitchen cabinet area.

AF doesn't build many long bed versions of the 811. I rarely see them on dealer lots when I go looking at new campers.

For comparison, here's my LB version 811 on a LB truck.
Notice that it has shorter wings on the side

The 811 comes in two configurations but the CG is the same on both: The long bed version does not have the rear storage or generator option While the short bed version does.

I have the short bed version on a 9' flat bed yet can still get 7.5' of the camper floor on the deck. The generator exhaust prevents you from sliding it farther forward. If you were to try to slide this into a long bed pickup box, you could get about 7' before the rear TC boxes interfered with the taillights.

Some people have blocked the front of the TC and used the gap as additional storage space for chairs or generator since the CG would be the same on a short bed or long bed truck.

I don't have one, but the difference is the long bed model doesn't have the side boxes or generator as an option.
