Any Bullet 310BHS owners here?

Hi all,
After looking at every model on the planet I think we have settled on a Keystone Bullet 310BHS, but have only seen pics and videos so far.

The double over double bunks will be great for our two boys and any friends they bring along. I love all the storage in this model which is way more than every other model we have looked at. Add that to all the counter space it has thanks to opposing slides with the island, and I'm pretty sure it's our next camper.

Does anyone here actually have one and can comment on this unusual layout and any pros and cons?

thanks,
Jon

I get what you are saying and it looks like some things might be accessible, but it is not my top concern.

After having a small hybrid for the last couple years, my biggest wants are storage and counter space. This model has way more of both than all the other double over double BH trailers I have looked at.

If anyone has any other models I should consider though, I'm all ears.

Holy cow, where did all the Keystone/Thor bashers come from :? There has to be thousands upon thousands, if not millions of Passport, Bullet, Outback units out there. There is bound to be a couple that has loose screws...BTW screws often loose up when there are on something being towed behind a bumpy road at 65 mph...

You cant really pick a part one particular brand line (i.e Bullet) of an manufacturing company is better than another (i.e. Passport) You either love Keystone/Thor, or you dont..

Back to the OP, it looks like a really interesting design, I would love to see one in person.

Good luck finding one.

I don't have this exact model, but I do have a Keystone Bullet Premier.

The manufacturer either doesn't own a screwdriver or doesn't know how to use it. Virtually every fastener on the trailer was loose, many to the point of falling out during our first major trip.

The TV that came with the unit died the first day we had it.

The bottom of the small closet/pantry next to the bath was made of 1/8" plyboard. It cracked in half from the weight of a plastic toolbox that weighed no more than 15 lbs. and of course underneath it was the electrical panel, converter, etc.

On the first major trip we took, we pulled into the first campground, connected the electrical and no electricity. Finally determined that one leg of the 50 amp wasn't working, so I swapped them for the remainder of the trip at the bottom of the breaker panel. This got us the majority of our electrical systems working, but no converter. Had to buy and use a charger for the battery for the rest of the trip. When I finally got home I found that once again if they only knew how to use a damn screwdriver. The 50 amp connector on the trailer had a lug that came loose on the back. Tightened it up and had power again.

I had another problem with the brakes on the last trip and while getting it repaired I spoke to an RV tech that used to work at the factory. He told me a number of things about their poor quality and the push to meet quota each day.

I don't know that any of the other manufacturers are that much different though. I hear of similar problems with other manufacturers on this board and several other online forums.

My suggestion is, no matter which brand you end up purchasing, go through it during your walk through with a fine tooth comb. Make sure that all fasteners are tight. Check that there is nothing loose anywhere.

Mike,
I get it that Keystone makes a lot of different models. I don't plan on purchasing until I can check one out, but it seems like consolidation is unavoidable these days.

On a related note about Thor, the wife and I did check out some Dutchman trailers lately and even she commented on how poorly they appeared to be made. She normally wouldn't notice bad build quality if she fell through the floor so that was interesting.

I have a friend that has that exact trailer, and I must say not overly impressed at all. Not that I am a Jayco homer but we just purchased a 33 bhbs. After comparing the 2 the white hawk is hands down the better trailer of the 2.plus we paid the same amount.

I would not buy a keystone anything.... Too many models and quality surely suffers IMO.. Like thor industries...

Good luck with your purchase.....
