This is the first post of many of our truck camper trip from Arizona to Ketchikan, Alaska. We need to be there June 1.

Last day in Arizona was a long one. Up at 0430, pack apartment, work from 0700 to 1930, drive six hours in the dark and find a place to camp. BRAINDEAD!

Arrived in Page, AZ sometime after midnight, VERY tired. Then drove north a bit, then east and found a place to camp along the Smokey Mtn Road.

Woke up four short hours later and found the Utah desert blooming.

Camped way down there somewhere. Drove this in the dark, after being up for 21 hours. Ugghhh.......

Rode some nice narrow washes to wake the brain up in the morning.

After riding, coffee, and a shower, it was time to head out. Rain was coming, and this road turns to snot when it's wet.

In SLC now for the week wrapping up last minute stuff, then heading out.........more at that time.

Day 15: Left rainy Prince George, went to our first Canadian Walmart, then headed up to the beautiful town of Smithers for a couple nights. Getting kind of travel weary, and are not going to head north to the Hyder, AK area. Going to spend the last five days poking along to Prince Rupert. Weather remains beautiful.

Windshield shot heading into Smithers and the dominating Hudson Bay Mountains.

Near coast range mountains.

Found some locals for Alex to play with.

View from camp.

Heading out tomorrow. 220 miles to go to Prince Rupert.....

Man, talk about a Trip of a Lifetime for you and your Family.

I have a couple of questions for you. Is your truck a Short Bed and what if any mods did you do to it for carrying the TC?

Now, this one I searched for but could not find. What is the make of your camper?

I hope your trip continues to go well and that you and your family will make a lot of memories.

No mods to short bed or to truck at all.

30 mile round trip bike ride from Apgar Campground to Avalanche Creek (road closed) before traffic. Why don't these expensive national parks use some of our entrance fee funds to make bike lanes or bike paths? It's a hell of a lot more scenic from a bike seat than a windshield, also easier to "park" at the popular spots. End rant..............

After the morning ride, took the youngster on a 4 mile hike to Avalanche Lake, spotted a grizzly on the cliffs that seemed to be tracking a lone mountain goat, also about ran into a very tame mule deer.

Off to Canada and the Bugaboo Prov Park tomorrow. More pics here.
