Bad regulator on Lance??

2008 Lance 845 with dual tanks - got a bad propane regulator. Seems to be leaking, so will not repair, but I can't find the right one. Some of the "descriptions" make no sense, and don't want to buy the wrong one.

Not sure whether I want the stock regulator, as it's given me trouble before, and I'd rather buy good/better quality if available.

Can anyone give me a model number and a good quality regulator that will change directly, without modifications?

It's the dual tank automatic changeover, and horizontal tanks

Thanks M44

My troubles were with Marshall when I switched to Cavagna. Maybe this high flow unit is better built.

I have never had a changeover valve leak propane with 1 bottle removed. in fact my 5th wheel uses 4 grill size bottles with 2 auto changeover valves. I can remove one tank to get it filled, and return 1 week later and no leaks.

on my Wolf Creek it has one that looked like the Cavagna shown on amazon. I had it change over once but stay green. I had the refrigerator stocked for a trip. the morning before leaving I opened the refrigerator and it was 75 inside, both tanks were empty and valve was still green.

I have the same valves on my Arctic Fox but its always turned red on failover.
but after the Wolf Creek failure, I bought a Dometic LPGC10 LP Gas Checker and always know the level of the tanks

Yup - ordered a new one today ... thanks for all that advised. Will replace hoses too ... got three, one is a BBQ connector - might just plug that one, as we've never used it, ever. Happy Camping to all in 2018 !!! Bill & Genie

I never liked the changeover valves as they would discharge propane when I removed 2nd tank for refill.
So now all my RV have one of the ports plug and I never use the changeover.
Meaning I would not replace the combo and use single regulator only.
Way cheaper and available everywhere.
10 years old hose might get hard, so good time to get a new one.

Took mine off(was leaking also)and took it to a local propane company-they had it in stock, so I bought a new one. Sorry I can't remember the price, but I do remember thinking "is that all it costs?" Oh, I have the horizontal tanks also. Gary

Too many geezers, self appointed moderators, experts, and disappearing posts for me. Enjoy. How many times can the same thing be rehashed over and over?
