I want to add air bags to my 2019 GMC 2500hd Duramax. I want it to be the kind with an onboard compressor so I can adjust at anytime, anywhere. What system are you guys running? Any pros and cons I need to be aware of? Thanks for any info!

Why? because a "Duramax" is an engine, and an engine doens't need an airbag.

Oh come on...

Same here, have had both. Both worked equally well. Presently have the Airlift, with the remote control compressor system the 72000, and the jounce airbags.

Some claim no need for a compressor, tried that for a few months on the first setup, no thanks. Just the one fact of being able to adjust the air pressure on the fly is enough reason for the compressor, plus the plain fact of convenience.

I have PacBrake, they are no drill installation. They mount below the frame instead of being attached to a bolt on bracket hanging off the side of the frame.

I have AirLift 2,000lb bags on my truck with single channel. I started with 5,000lb dual channel and found out that they made the ride significantly rougher plus the dual channel restricts articulation. My truck is a half-ton but even on a 3/4 ton and additional 2,000lbs of lift should be plenty. Dual channel is good if you have a high CG load like a truck camper and need to control rocking but other than that I would stick with single channel. My experience was that more than you need is not better. The 5,000lb bags with built in jounce bumpers may work better with a gooseneck hitch. At least they do on an F150.

I use Firestone bags on my 2013 and they work well, I am loaded 98% of the time so I just have two air fill points one on either side of the license plate.

I have Air Lift Systems airbags with the onboard compressor on our Chev 2500 Duramax crew cab long box 4X4 truck and simply love it. Had 2 GM trucks since 1993 and one Ford truck (ill-fated 6.0 diesel that quickly went bye bye) with the Air Lift system on them and never had an air leak or issue yet. The first was on our 1993 Chev 2500 5.7 engine ext cab 4X4 long box and as of last fall (2018) the asparagus farmer friend I had sold it to in 2004 with 168K said the airbag system is still working fine yet. Truck now has over 460K on it and is really beat up now as we see the truck often being land owned neighbors. Still is used for his farm work/hauling stuff etc.
