Bigfoot sewer hose storage

My recently acquired Bigfoot has a door on the drivers side that is label "SEWER HOSE". Haha, it's not deep enough for any usable length sewer hose. Inside the door it is maybe 6" diameter round and about 16" deep. It is sealed from the skirt area where the sewer dump valves are located. I store my sewer hose in the skirt void where the valves are. I got to looking at it and thought that round sealed up area really takes a lot of room from the skirt area. I was thinking maybe remove that sealed "tube" and just cut it off behind the mounting plate. I would gain maybe a grand total of 80 square inches of storage. lol
Your thoughts??
Oh, and....BigWig should be here Friday.

For my 2008 Bigfoot 25C9.6, I bought a ~4 ft long plastic sewer hose carrier at CampingWorld and bolted it to the forward side of the camper rear bumper. Problem solved.
It's great not having to be anywhere other than where I am right now.

^^^What I'm thinking. I think that white fence post is a good bit cheaper than the Valterra hose carrier.I need to do more looking and thinking. I might just get lazy and leave it as is, or wait till it warms up. It's brutal around Houston right now. Got down to 35 last night.

I'm with you bro - overnight lows in the 30s(!) here in Vegas, might not even hit 60 tomorrow!

Not a new idea, certainly not mine, but plastic sewer pipe section plugged on one end with a cap and the other with a screw in plug (to get the hose in and out). Took a Saturday but works really good hung under the left wing of my 835. You could mount it under the the basement overhang just as easily.

Princess Craft RV sent me an email reply today to my inquiry about the Bigfoot bumper with step. $2,000 plus shipping. No thanks.
I'm thinking maybe a Valterra tube. I'm OK where the hose is now, it's just the Bigfoot sewer hose tube is useless.
I have a twist on valve on the 5th wheel. I do need to put one on the Bigfoot.

Instead of getting rid of the 18 inch "sewer hose" tube we use it to store the muddy door mat rolled up. Yet another place to insulate for winter camping.

Not sure if there was a design change or not but the sewer hose in my 2001 Bigfoot 10.6 Camper does indeed go into the 4"x4" aluminum rear bumper that hangs off the end of my camper. It certainly is a good location for it though I have run into an instance where the hose slides about 18" into the bumper forcing me to have to reach in and try to snake it out (not all that pleasant of an experience to say the least...).

One suggestion worth considering (and mentioned in other threads) consider adding a secondary waste gate valve on your camper that attaches where your sewer hose normally might go (your sewer hose then attaches to the end of the secondary waste gate valve). This gives you a backup just in case one of your other valves fails and also gives you the ability to transfer grey water waste to the black water tank (usually the grey fills long before the black) by equalizing the liquids in both tanks when both primary valves are opened at the same time but keeping your secondary valve closed.

I use a Valtera EZ hose carrier under the rear of my campers. On 9.6 had to put on passenger side and bolted thru basement. Carriage bolt heads in basement and nuts/lock nuts underneath.
Now have 10.4 and put EZ hose carrier on drivers side under 4" square bumper support. Fits perfect with tube cap just forward of jack. Sorry, no pics

I'm OK for now storing the sewer hose in the skirt. I couple the ends together to prevent massive leaks. There's enough room there for the long hose, the 5ft. extension, sewer hub adapter, and a fresh water hose.
I made a call to Princess Craft RV, a Bigfoot dealer, about the bumper/platform. They are calling Bigfoot to see if it will fit my year model.

Yep, that is a pain. I ended up extending the tube about 6"... I can get a 10ft slinky hose in there.

I have seen some folks mount PVC tube under the camper side overhang that works pretty good if you need more than 10 ft.

Hangers something like this:

Probably other sources but just to show the sizes etc:
