hello and thanks for reading my post. i have been using the same tow bar for the last 10 years and i have about 30 thousand miles on it. I have pulled a toyota fj and jeep wrangler but now i noticed that the ball that holds the two arms that hook up to the tow veh has no tension. in the past it was hard to maneuver but it moves around very easy. is their some type of maintenance should be done on the bar. thanks again for reading this post

Blue Ox Customer Service may be able to point you to a dealer who can do maintenance on your tow bar. I took mine to Hitching Post in Ocala a couple of years ago and they reworked it all for $65.00. It was the Aventa.

Yes they do require maintenance. Some more than others. If you haven't done any maintenance to it over the last 10 years, it's due. Blue Ox provides excellent customer service. A call should fix you up..They also regularly have reps at most rallies.....Dennis

Tow bars require maintenance. Considering your usage it might be a good idea to have a authorized dealer to do a full inspection and maintenance as their might be other pending issues that you are not apparent.

Order the kit from blue ox consisting of the spacers and new locking nuts. May want to order the rubber boot covers also.
