I'm sure this has been asked before but my google-fu isnt connecting today.

Two fundamental differences between boats and RVs:

1. Boats are open to the weather up top. The wrapping is mostly to protect the interior from the vast majority of the weathering that would occur if otherwise left out in the... weather.
2. Boats are built to get water *in* them and have it drain out. RVs are not; they depend mostly on being able to shed the water quickly to prevent intrusion. If the water is held on the RV, sooner or later it will penetrate into something that is not water tolerant.

Putting 10-ply tires on half ton trucks since aught-four.

$120? the RV tent is $2300 around here. its too tall it fit in anything smaller.

Same here. I agree. A small "Tempo" for sub-compact car, erectable plastic and metal framed car cover, with front (and rear) plastic doors costs $460++ around here.

Anyhow, you have to be really vigilant at cleaning the snow off those erectable outdoor storage tents, because in our region (just a few hours drive north of Mass), we have a lot of collapses during winter.

I hope you guys don't get the kind of snows this coming 2016 that you had last 2015 winter. We were watching the situation from the condo in Florida, last winter :E

On edit: just thinking out loud.....our marina wraps hundreds of boats this time of year. The only thing I would worry about is wrapping the roof properly. If there is a breach in the shrink- wrapping process on your roof area, you may develop a swimming pool up there, when the snow melts out... (not potentially deep water, but could be a serious problem none the less if you let your imagination wander a little at various scenarios)

I cannot figure out why you would. Not going to stop any weight issue with the snow, could end up being a better place for critters if not fully sealed, Eliminates the ability to use for a day or two. Other options much better and just leaving it as is works as well.

If you have space for keeping TC under wrap, you do have space for tent or carport.

I don't see why it wouldn't work. Also, you can incorporate a plastic access door into the wrap. Need also to use a handful of vents.

My neighbor used to shrink-wrap the roof of his Class C, leaving enough room to open the door. If done correctly, you can reuse the shrink wrap for a few seasons.

I like getting in my RV during the winter, just to check things out.
I don't think the wrap will allow it.

I used to have my boat shrink wrapped for Winter and can only imagine that price might be one of the stumbling blocks of doing the camper.
