Hi all, we got rid of our bigfoot camper the lay out was terrible.
We have found a better camper for us.1994 okanagan 10'i don't like the hydraulic jacks I just don't feel safe running around jacking here and there ect.I want to change to electric jacks. Has anyone else done this swap?

Ok thanks I was even thinking about just running the wire on the outside in some sort of conduit cover they make lot's of different stuff.yes sounds like its not to bad to do .I definitely don't want to spend the money on anewer modern camper as the money is a bit tight. I have seen sets for about $2500 any advice on where to get the best pricing ect would be great

I did it on an older Lance. Before you buy anything make sure you can get to all the corners for the wiring and the mounts. Get it all planed out before hand.

You well need to get new jacks, controller and wire the camper up for them. There is no way to use the existing jacks as far as I know. I agree with you about not liking the hydraulic jacks. I had them and they just get very tiring to pump on one then run around and pump on all the others.

I try to always leave doubt to my ignorance rather than prove it

I went from 4 manual roll up jacks to 4 electric jacks ,non remote but so much easier then the others. Now if I recruit my daughter she and I can have the truck camper on or off the truck in less then 5 minutes.

Depending on the jacks you have, it can be done by simply adding jack motors to your current jacks. And of course, worst case, you unbolt and rebolt on new jacks and run the wiring. The wiring is not difficult.
