Check light on

Several weeks ago I replaced the heating element for my Dometic five cubic foot refrigerator/freezer. The check light would come on the top part of the refrigerator as it didn't know whether to be on propane or shore power (AC). I'm getting ready to start another trip tomorrow and went out to start the refrigerator up on AC to cool down and the check light is on again. Any suggestions on what the problem might be? Thanks in advance for any help.

So in theory, the refer lost 120 volt power, then tried to light on LP. No LP present to the unit turned on the check light.
Are you plugged into shore power? No, then there is the problem.
Yes, then you need to check the receptacle for 120 volt power where the refer plugs in. Then follow the 120 volts toward the element in the stack. It is possible that the service shop turned off the circuit breaker in the 120 volt panel or blew the fuse on the circuit board.

Thanks Bud for the reply. The LP is turned off and the model number of the Dometic refrigerator/freezer is RM2554 if that helps. The board was checked several weeks ago by a reputable RV service repair shop that replaced the heating element.

Check light is for the LP function. Is the LP on?
If the 120 volt element doesn't work it will revert to LP.
I would start by checking for 120 volts to the circuit board. Then check for 120 volts going to the element. Should be glass fuse on circuit board for the 120 volt function.
Possible that the circuit board 120 volt relay has gong bad.
Model of the refer would help.
