Choosing the right equalizer/sway hitch

Hello again All! We have finally determined we will get a Lance 1995 3700lbs dry wt,
GVWR 5700lbs. We'll pull it with an F150 ecoboost and would really appreciate some
Advice on the best equalizer/anti-sway hitch. Since we are coming from a small
Motorhome and toad, we aren't familiar with this, and many choices.
We really appreciate some real world advice, rather than dealers who just want
To get you out the door. Thanks!

When we acquire our Lance model 1985 it was recommended both by lance and Lance dealers to install the E2 hitch, the E2 comes with basic brackets and we found out after much research that there are special brackets needed for the BAL/Norco frames. These BAL/Norco brackets were a special order item and after waiting in excess of 6 weeks we cancelled our order and went with the Eaz-Lift and have been more then satisfied with the set-up

The Equal-izer is the one I used before I went to a MH and it worked well and was easy to use.

Since you have a more than adequate tow vehicle, you might want to look into the advantages of the Andersen No Sway hitch. If your trailer weighed twice that, I would not give that suggestion. Quiet, clean, lightweight, are just some of its advantages.

EQ 1000 pound bars is what I recommend. They are designed to work from 400-1000 pounds of TW. The next step down at 600 pound rating will likely exceed your loaded TW.

The Equal-izer sounds like the one. Is there a particular size or is there only one? It looks like 14,000, 12,000....

X2. I went from a Husky to an Equalizer. Much easier.

Equal-i-zer. I tow my 32ft trailer with it with my EcoBoost and it is great. Highly recommend.
