I just got directions and its 2768 kilometres or a 27 hour drive for me. About 1300 miles for my American friends.

I was looking for a good trip, you just might see me there.

Paul,

Come on over there are still sites available. The more the merrier. Its been a number of years since they have had a big rally and I think it will be a great get together in a great location. Lots to see and do in CO also. As mentioned Rocky National Park. Then you have the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and Grand Mesa over by Grand Junction. Take the Million Dollar Highway then you can take the narrow gauge railway from either Durango or Silverton. Take it one way and ride the bus back or take a round trip. Go a little further west out of Durango and go to Mesa Verde, this is a great place to go see. Then a short distance to Four Corners area. In the Grand Junction area you can take a drive through Colorado National Monument.

You could spend another month after the rally just traveling around in CO and still leave more for a later trip.

Yesterday, January 26, was the 100th anniversary of Rocky Mountain National Park. A visit there would mesh well with a trip to the rally.

Very little single track left, but, a new single track was made last year in the Rainbow Falls area. Fairly challenging and about 12 miles. The quads have taken over,,thats why I bought one. Our club, the CMTRA has trail maps of 717 and Rainbow Falls, which are probably the closest trails to Colo. Spgs.

When I lived in CO and rode at Rampart Range it was for MC only. Most of the trails were not wide enough for an ATV to be on. There was some pretty mean trails there. After my wife went one time she told me if she had to ride her MC there that I might as well sell it as she was not going to ride there anymore. Has this changed? If it has I just might have to bring my ATV with me.

Bikes, dirt bikes, ATV`s, ect. Lots to do relatively close by. I would be glad to help with questions so folks can prepare.

We will be there. Just adding CO to our usual week in Utah riding quads vacation. Looking forward to it. Never been in CO before.

It's great that there will be some locals around to get the real scoop on things instead of getting getting detoured to roadside traps. As this trip approaches I will have to figure out which toys to pack in the mobile garage...

I'll be there even if I no longer have a TC. I'm still a TCer at heart and will always be one till I take my last breath.

Bearsfanatic85,

We used to live in Golden and my wife is a native Coloradan and was born and raised in Golden. The last number of years that we lived there we were on Easley Rd.

Sounds like fun and only down the road apiece, may be doable but I need to check with the boss and her schedule.

I live about 9 miles from that campground. It is a good campground. Very close to Garden of the Gods park. I won't be camping but plan on stopping in and visiting. Great place for a rally!

The USAF Academy is right near there too. We went to a nephew's graduation about 10 years ago now. A treat to see. We had privileges so not sure what is actually available for the general public to see. To be there at graduation time is a treat with marching on the parade grounds and lots of aircraft flying overhead. For Stargate buffs, the Stargate is just on the other side of the mountain. Drive or ride the COG railway to the top of Pikes Peak. Make yourself breath deep when you get to the top as the air is thin.

We're just not sure if we will be able to make this due to time constraints but it sounds awfully tough to miss. It would be nice to see old faces and meet new ones. TC people have been a real treat to meet at every rally we've gone to.

I should check my schedule and try to do this.

I didn't take a vacation last summer, and I'm long overdue for one.
