My daughter was getting a little warm in her bunk during our last camping trip, so I decided to put her a fan in to keep the air flowing.

I had been wanting to add a 12-volt fan to the main living area anyway, so I decided to tackle both jobs today. A trip to Wal-Mart for two fans($8.48 each) and we're halfway there.

She picked the spot, and I got to work -

I picked up the power from her overhead light. All I have left is to install a short piece of wire cover and I'm done -

I added one in the main area -

I dropped by Lowe's and found this cool soap dispenser. I also just installed these Pop-a-Toothbrush holders -

I added a sopa dispenser to the kitchen area as well. I also installed a Pop-a-Napkin under the radio -

Here's an easy mod. I found this over the door towel rack at Walmart and it works great -

I've been looking for the rod holders because that's what our other idea was going to be. Where did you get them??

^^ could always do something like this too. Fishing rods need to be shorter than width of my trailer. Those rod holders hold the rods very nicely where they are at. I am certain it could hold reels as well. The holders cost about $12.

I love me some land yachting

I've been looking for a fishing rod holder for some time. We tried the PVC pipes attached to the back wall of the basement and it's really pretty good but you have to detach the reels all the time. I like your idea. Do the rods just lie on the chain or do you use S-hooks to attach them to the chain? Picture, please?

Just finished a fishing pole mod. I used two sections of light weight chain (like on a storm door) and screwed them to the top of my storage compartment on each end. now the rods hang from the ceiling and are not being smashed by all the other stuff.

This isn't really a mod, but I always hated having the roasting forks and pie irons just laying around in the storage comparment. Couldn't find a storage tote that was long enough. Then I was at Farm and Fleet one day and found a cheap ($10-15) rifle case. It is a perfect fit for the roasting forks and pie irons. Not to mention it gets people wondering what you are up to when you pull it out by the campfire 🙂

Being a marine product it is certified to 60 atmosphere, so it says. (that's more than 700psi.)

Also I paint "Liquid Tape" on the switch terminals.

You are still talking salt vs acid.

Whatever, In my mind the acid is in a unsealed box under only IP1.

Being a marine product it is certified to 67 atmosphere, so it says. (that's more than 900psi.)

Also I paint "Liquid Tape" on the switch terminals.

The previous switch is the best you can buy.

Shop wisely and don't be afraid of using google. I think I found one from a Marine Dealer - $47. You will also need a Battery cable (about 15") to go from the neg. side the battery to the switch. NAPA is a good source.

I use one, but I installed mine through the top of the battery cover protruding upward (Large box w/group 27DS Batt.) I had to put a piece 2" x 2" wood into the opposite topside of the cover for spacing to hold the cover level.

It was a lot easier to cut plastic over Steel.

When you cut the cover make sure of your spacing. If you don't the cover may not go back on.

I did not want to mount in the battery box for the simple reason of not having the switch exposed to the gasses coming of the battery. To each is own. Where ever you mount it, it will be a good mod and make things simpler.

Now back to the mods. Where are you guys getting the battery cutoff switches? Would like to add one of them to my TT.

I bought a Cole Hersey. The cost is higher but it is rated for use where road salt and chemicals are pressent. I bought mine from Terminal Supply Co. You can find it on line. Its nice being able to disconnect the batteries with the turn of a knob.
Good luck.

If you look closely at the house in the background there is a hole in the roof (about 6ft long) above the satelite dish, and a plywood board over the window. What you cannot see is the tarps and boards over most of the rest of the windows. Someone actually lives there still as well.

Now back to the mods. Where are you guys getting the battery cutoff switches? Would like to add one of them to my TT.
