Fast Gun issue?

The fast Guns came up short yesterday. They were about 2" short of reaching my Torklift frame mounts on the front. The rear fit without any issue. But on my 2022 ram 3500. Its like the frame mounts put the receiver lower then it needs to be. Thus the front when extended all the way. Still is short.
Has anyone added a couple of links of chain to the Receiver section?

I have been using them like this since 2009. Ensure that they are mounted with gravity pulling the nut into the closed position.

Just use the links mentioned by 3 tons. They won't come loose if they are snugged with a wrench. I've been using them for 7 years cause needed them when I upgraded from a 2004 to 2015 Ram. They are just attached to the Torklift frame mount insert and stay on all the time.

Have a bunch of those. But the kind I'm using no issues removing easy. Also both are rated for more then they should ever see. But always go big or go home.
When we bought our 2006 Okanagan. Those 3 tons shows were on them. As with it only got chain and turnbuckets. Now own 2 sets of Fast Guns.

^Thats completely overkill for what you’re doing. It’ll work, of course, if that will hook to the mount on your truck.

I plan on using Chain Clevis to mount the chain. That way it can't come loose.

Thanks Guy's.
Going to just add 2 links to and let it ride. Friday I removed 2 of the clevis shackle off the Super hitch 4ft extension. That give me just enough room to make it work.

Adding chain works. Had chain on ours for years. No fastguns
Or you could cut and add a longer piece of all thread with a coupler nut if you want a more permanent setup.

I have done it when needing to set-up the SB camper on a LB truck, used the add-a-link as 3T mentioned above at the TL end and more than a few chain links along with a zip-tie to keep the excess from dangling:

... and that's probably the easiest, cheapest way, but Torklift has longer ones unless it's really long... you just unscrew it and screw in a longer on if I recall.. been a while ao, but I 'Think' that works..

I had the same problem…Just add a couple of ‘add a link’ chain link extenders on each side:
