First trip of the year and new truck!

It was a well needed weekend away in the woods! We normally camp every 3 weeks most of the year, but had been unable to since last October due to schedules and weather, plus I was dying to tow the 5er with the new truck, so we went. Saturday morning was a complete washout, but improved dramatically after lunch. We had a great time with what started out as a two camper trip, turned into a 5 camper trip. Good times with family and friends.
The truck was considerable better at pulling than the 6.4. Much easier acceleration and better ride than my other one. Anyway, here is a glimpse of out site this weekend.

Why does a new Ford 350 drw truck need air bags with a fairly light trailer for it's size? Chris

It doesn't NEED them, I just put them on both of my duallies due to some very BAD interstate roadways that we travel each year. I have an onboard air system and can change the pressures in the bags as road conditions change. Some of the really bad expansion joints in the roads and bridges are smoothed out by the bags. My pin weight is around 3100-3300 pounds which is really nothing for a dually, but I like they way the truck rides with them slightly inflated when pulling the camper. Plus it reduces suspension fatigue over the years.

Nice rig OP, congrats.

Yes it is a Georgia Bulldog plate. I graduated from there several years ago. Yep, this season really disappointed me. We need a new OC as we apparently just lost our DC too.

Always next year :B coming from a SC (Southern Cal Trojan Grad)
OBTW your favorite team to hate just hired my old coach as OC, things are looking up for you :W He will have fun when he visits the Tennessee Vols next year :E

Congrats on the new truck! If you don't mind me asking, where is that at and do they have a boat ramp?

It is Fort Yargo in Winder, GA. Only boats with small motors allowed. Some use bigger boats but just use the trolling motors. It is Georgia's most visited state park. They have fantastic bike trails as well. You can look it up by going the Ga state park website. And yes, lots of fishing done there. Thanks for the congrats. We love the new truck.
