I am thinking of purchasing a 2015 Flagstaff Super Lite, 27', that I will pull with my F150. Pros and cons on durability, quality construction, warranty issues.....
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Enjoying ours so far. Just as durable as the others.

On our second Rockwood - first a 23SS Hybrid and now an Ultra Lite 2604. Totally pleased with both. As mentioned, any manufacturer can and does turn out a lemon from time to time...the luck of the draw. We also tow with an F-150, an '03 with 5.4 and factory tow rated for 8000#. Our Rocky is 6629# and tows wonderfully. Good luck and happy shopping.

It will make a pretty large difference what year/model your F 150 is and how much your trailer will weigh (loaded). I towed my Ultra-lite Rockwood (8,0000 lb) for over 80,000 miles with my 2004 F 150 5.4 and never had an issue with it though it was a bit under powered for high altitude towing (exclusively in Colorado) but even there it did the job just fine. Newer model years with the 6 speed tranny will make a big difference and even bigger difference would be the newer 5.0 engine or for the MOST difference, the 3.5 Ecoboost.

As with most half ton trucks keep a close eye on tongue weight because that's the specification you're MOST apt to exceed. Just be aware that brochure tongue weights are with an EMPTY trailer and meaningless. Take 15% of the trailers GVWR to determine the most your tongue will ever weigh.

Good luck with your decision / Skip

Have had four travel trailers. Two have been Flagstaff. I would not be afraid to buy another.

If you don't maintain them propperly, any trailer can be a bad one.

Nicest feature is, the optional electric tank heaters. Many manufacturers, don't offer them. Some, won't even consider them as a special order.

I am also looking at a Flagstaff 831FKWS superlite classic.
I started looking at the Rockwood but could not strike a favorable deal with my local dealer. I found that the Rockwood and Flagstaff are built on the same line just some graphic and interior color differences. I am a long shot from being an expert on quality so in layman's terms the quality seems to be acceptable. There are a few on the forum that have noted good success and a couple that have not been as pleased I would expect that as there are many of these units made each year. My past experience with a 27' Forest river Sandpiper was good. I am also planning to tow with an F150 with the Max tow pkg. I do not expect any issues. I will make sure that I have a WD hitch with sway control of a proper size I am looking at the Equalizer product and the Reese dual-cam. There are lots of nice features on the Flagstaff I did however notice that some units lack storage on the outside. I think inside storage was good in all that I looked at. I will get a Platinum PKG with cabinet upgrades there was a noticeable difference in one I looked at without as compared to with. I will watch the responses that you get as I am also on that fence but very close to pulling the trigger.

They enjoy a decent reputation but all makers turn out some junk occasionally.

I've got a Rockwood (the twin to the Flagstaff off the same assembly line) and am very happy with the build quality. No warranty issues after nearly 2 years.
